The ColinsHope Got2Swim/Kids Open Water swim was held at Quarry Lake 07/21/2013. An event created to introduce kids to safe "open water" swimming, approximately 40 were in attendance for the 100 yard and 200 yard events. After a check-in, body marking and briefing, the kids in various events rode the giant "SUP-Zilla" to the start point and when the horn went off, they were off. After the events, a cannonball contest was held for both kids and adults. The kids had a good time. The adults had a good time. And funds were raised to continue ColinsHope activities in the creation of programs to raise awareness about childhood drowning as well as provide other critical services for kids and water safety. Then, mouse over the right side and click the yellow folder with the green arrow that will appear. The high-res file (.jpg) will download to your computer. I don't charge ColinsHope to shoot their events, nor will I charge for the digital downloads.
